01 / THE CHALLENGE

The problem

A small embedded screen needs to communicate useful information while responding to touches and refreshing without making the interface feel slow.

02 / THE APPROACH

How I'm approaching it

  • Use an ESP32 with an ILI9341 display and XPT2046 touch controller.
  • Synchronize time through Wi-Fi and NTP using Bangladesh time.
  • Plan partial redraws to avoid repainting the whole screen unnecessarily.
  • Design theme and 12/24-hour controls for direct touch interaction.
03 / REFLECTION

What this work is teaching me

Embedded interfaces require attention to redraw cost, input reliability, screen layout, and the limitations of the hardware—not just the appearance of a mockup.

04 / NEXT ITERATION

What's next

Capture the actual hardware, verify the final firmware on-device, and record a short end-to-end demo.

Descriptions reflect current portfolio notes. Update them as the project evolves.
